Since 1986, we have been providing almost all major petrol companies with the 52.01 counter, designed for night use on garage forecourts. Today, the 52.01 can be found in a good 4000 petrol stations throughout Europe. In fact it has already earned itself a strong reputation as a highly practical, maintenance-free counter. Adhering to category FB4 ballistic protection requirements, it also provides the peace of mind you expect of a bullet-proof night counter.
The 52.01 also allows us to cater for 'one-offs'. For instance, Shell asked us to integrate the design of our counters with their forecourt colour scheme (Shell grey). BP asked us to fit the counters into their 'Bull-Nose', to stand out further from the garage façade. In France the 52.01 had to include a keypad for cashless payment systems. For all units we developed a special coin trough – to make it easier to pick up cash.
The reverse-action lower carriage was designed to make it as simple as possible for operators to hand over a 5-litre can of petrol – at least that's the official version used in specifications. In reality, the benchmark is for the compartment to take a six-pack of beer.
The night counter was produced in-house using state-of-the-art machinery: a new TL 3050 laser-cutting machine supplied by Trumpf, equipped with a powerful – yet precise – 5 kW laser capable of slicing through steel plates of up to 20mm in thickness. It was exactly the right tool for the job, as all pre-cut components and drill parts had to fit like a glove. The counter is totally maintenance-free, but in the unlikely event that something should need replacing, all components are available in original, top quality, condition.
