Global demand for security technology made in Germany is growing...
The Security 2010 trade fair in Essen, Germany, was a major success for Walter Wurster. Countless visitors from all over the world clamoured around the company’s stand, eager to see all kinds of product demonstrations. The global demand for fire- and bullet-resistant security products is growing, and governments and public bodies make up many of the clients. At this year’s trade fair, Lithuania ordered 58 Walter Wurster counters for its embassies worldwide, while Saudi Arabia ordered another 30.
F90 and FB6 – combined in a single product
As well as governments, embassies and correctional facilities, many attendees from the banking sector displayed a lot of interest in Walter Wurster technology at the trade fair. The centre of attention was the company’s latest product: Model 63.01, a pass-through for cash or documents that can withstand fire, smoke and heat for 90 minutes, and is also resistant to weapons fire. What makes this model so special? It’s now available in a version that combines F90-class fire resistance with FB6-class firearms protection. Engineers at Walter Wurster used ingenious design solutions and special materials to unite these seemingly conflicting properties in a single product. Model 63.01 also uses tried-and-tested catch-tray technology to catch bullets.
